Engineering Disclaimer
Understand model assumptions and independently verify all engineering results.
Independent verification is required
These calculators produce theoretical estimates from simplified engineering models. Independently verify the equations, units, inputs, material data, model applicability and output before any safety-critical use. Do not use the site as the sole basis for fabrication, installation, lifting, pressure containment, structural design or other decisions that could cause injury or damage.
Theory is not a design recommendation
Critical loads are ideal model predictions, not allowable loads. Fatigue safety factors do not check yielding or every failure mode. Torque-preload estimates are strongly affected by friction. Thin-wall stress calculations do not establish pressure-vessel code compliance. No unspecified safety factor, manufacturing allowance or reliability margin is included.
Material inputs and diagrams
Default material values are illustrative numerical inputs. They are not certified data for any named grade or product. Obtain validated properties for your actual material, temperature, environment and condition. Diagrams are schematic and deflections may be exaggerated.
Models have boundaries
Real parts can have imperfections, residual stresses, stress concentrations, nonlinear response, combined loading, time-dependent behavior and environmental effects beyond these equations. Read the assumptions and warnings on each calculator. A result without a warning is not proof of suitability or safety.
Professional review
Consult a qualified engineer and applicable standards for actual designs. No licensure, professional endorsement, independent peer review or regulatory approval is claimed for this site.
